It is an Inter-house event, organised every year by the members of the alumni committee of our school, in memory of our very own ex-Xavierite, the Late Naresh Pardal.
'The Big Brains' from all the four houses assembled to showcase their intellectual acuity. The audience proved to be an encouraging and interactive one as the participants avidly awaited each question that would test the depth of their intellect and mastery in various domains, whether it was the latest current affairs or famous poetic lines; events from the ancient past or something related to science and technology. Every question was a mind marathon and every contestant was set on being the first, their eyes brimming with cleverness and their minds quick for uptake, as ready as they can be to hit the buzzer, hoping to get the correct answer. The entire room was zestful, filled with the true spirit of healthy competition and lively dynamics.
Cheers and applause surround the room as the contestants presented their expertise in factual knowledge and the ability to work their brains through within seconds and have a complex command over their thinking. Towards the end of this intriguing quiz the Golds house emerged victorious with a total of 140 points, Reds house backed the second position with a score of 95 points, Blues house stood third with a considerable score of 60 points and lastly Greens house with 40 points. Cash prizes were given to all. The quiz ultimately served as an exhilarating display of intellect and the amazing capacity of the human mind and those who nurture it with facts, wisdom and cognition. It was truly an appreciable event of brainpower that one can use as their source to outgrow the 'ordinary'.
