The scenic arrangement delights the eye, the music charms the soul, the situations created by the plot arouse interest and make us lose the sense of our troubles, and most importantly, the audience fills the space.
Theatre is an occasional opportunity in the form of a stage customized solely by us to share our experience, thoughts, agony, pain, and happiness with the audience. Grasping hold of this opportunity, 'Europhia' was organized on Friday, July 22, at the Senior School Hall, wherein the four houses curbed the audience in their theatrical performances. This event became more mesmerizing with the panel of judges consisting of Mrs. Reshma B Dugar, an educator cum writer and a blogger, Dr. Ranjit Kaur, Asst. Professor at St. Xavier's College Jaipur and has judged several performances, and Mr. Vinod Soni, an actor in various popular movies and a Professor of Theatre. First to entertain the audience with their splendorous play, "The Thought Within," was the Greens House. It showed how a youngster's life is affected without the love and affection between her parents and becomes an obstacle in her dream journey. The play revolves around a teenage girl, Julie, fighting for her future passion for business in a science family while trying to save her parent's marriage. Like other teens, she wished to harbor love and warmth from her mother and courage and bravery from her father. But she wasn't alone. Her loneliness fades with the support of her true friend, Kate, and her grandparents, who can understand the pain in her eyes, comfort her, and shows concern in her crises. An outstanding performance of Julie, played by Aditi Jasoria, with the compelling screenplay written by Sheza Khan, won the audience's hearts and created a hit show.
Next up was the Reds House with their play, "A True Artist," expressing the strong and powerful emotions of a dreamer. This play conveyed the difficulties faced by a determined person, Marshal, in becoming an actor left alone in his dream journey and how he achieved his dream. He was eccentric to be an actor, but due to his reiterated defeat, everyone around him had lost their hope in him. The director, who auditioned him, his successful classmates, and even his wife, Nancy, left him. His anger and depression tried to grasp hold of him, but still, he didn't lose his motivation. In the end, he was awarded the 'Best Actor's Award,' and coincidentally, he received it from his previous auditionee. This play portrayed a good example of never giving up, as great things need time to be right around your corner. The impressive performance of Jhank Rathi filled the hall with roaring applause and hootings.Play Fest - Reds and Greens House
